A Spring Fruit Trifle Recipe
Cook Time --> Prep time: Cook time: Ready in: Yields: Serves 15 people 2/3 cup each.
Ingredients:
  • 36 Nilla Wafers, whole
  • 2 Tbsp Orange-flavored liqueur, optional
  • 2 packages Instant Pudding, vanilla
  • 3 cups Milk, cold
  • 6 squares Semi-Sweet All Purpose Chocolate, melted, cooled slightly
  • 8 oz Whipped Topping, purchased or freshly prepared, divided
  • 3-4 cups Mixed Spring Fruit, blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, and or pineapple
Instructions:
  • Stand 16 Nilla Wafers around the inside edge of the trifle bowl. Coarsely break up the remaining Nilla Wafers in a plastic sandwich bag and sprinkle most of the broken wafers onto the bottom of the bowl. Set plastic bag aside-will be used again. Generously drizzle orange-flavored liqueur all over Nilla Wafers onto the bottom of the trifle bowl.
  • Beat both vanilla flavored pudding mixes with cold milk, using a whisk in a medium bowl for 2 minutes consistently. Gently stir in melted chocolate and half of the whipped topping with the pudding and milk.
  • Being layering: half the pudding and chocolate mixture, half the fresh fruit, and half the broken wafers in the plastic bag from step 1 on bottom. Repeat layers for a total of two only.
  • Top trifle with remaining whipped topping and broken wafers.
  • Refrigerate for 30-35 minutes then enjoy!
